Rallye Motor Company celebrated the topping off of its future Rallye Lexus Westbury dealership, located at 125 Jericho Turnpike in Jericho, on Tuesday, July 14, marking a significant construction milestone as the project moves toward completion.

The topping off ceremony, a construction tradition signifying that a building’s structural framework is complete, was held months after the groundbreaking for the new dealership in 2025.

Rallye leadership, along with architects, project manager, welders, electricians, and Oyster Bay Town officials, celebrated the milestone at the site, which included the attendees signing the last beam to be put up before it was put into place.

“This topping off ceremony represents months of planning and hard work coming to life,” John Tetta, the general manager of Rallye Lexus, said. “This location is going to be a beacon of strength for the community and stand as a safe harbor for all those who enter its doors.”

Juliana Terian, president and CEO of Rallye Motor Company, signing the last beam during the Rallye Lexus Topping Off ceremony while Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and Rallye Lexus General Manager John Tetta look on.

Rallye Motors was founded in 1958 as an imported automobile service and repair garage in Sea Cliff, and has since grown to encompass several car dealerships across Long Island.

“For 68 years, the North Shore of Nassau has felt like home to Rallye Motor Company, and moments like this remind us just how special that relationship is,” Juliana Terian, the president and CEO of Rallye Motor Company, said. “Watching this dealership rise is a proud reminder of how far  we’ve come — and a promise of how much more we have to give back to the community that has believed in us for nearly seven decades.”

The current Rallye Lexus has operated out of Glen Cove for decades and will close as the new location is expected to open in Westbury in the spring of 2027, according to Rallye. The new Rallye Lexus dealership is expected to have just over four acres of land.

“Projects like this bring good jobs, strengthen our local tax base, and show real confidence in our business community,” Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino said. “We’re proud to support growth that benefits our residents.”

With the structural framework now complete, construction crews will move forward with exterior finishing and interior buildout in the coming months, according to Rallye.

The start of construction on two new retail buildings, a parking garage and a park at the Cross County Center in Yonkers was marked with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Yonkers officials, executives from Marx Realty, community leaders and other invited guests.

The construction project is in an area identified as the North Lot and is described as being one of the most significant additions to Cross County Center in many years following the addition of restaurant buildings in 2015 and the  redevelopment of the former Sears building with a Target store in 2023.

The project calls for the construction of a 14,000-square-foot building along with a two-story, 44,000-square-foot building and underground parking plus a 4-acre park.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano said, “The expansion at this iconic shopping destination represents continued investment in our community, creates new jobs, strengthens our local economy, and enhances the experience for residents and visitors alike. We are proud to support thoughtful development that keeps Yonkers thriving and reinforces Cross County Center’s role as a premier regional destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment.”

According to Craig Deitelzweig, CEO of Marx Realty, “These new buildings will help us meet the incredible demand from retailers looking to be part of Cross County Center while creating an even more engaging and community-oriented environment for our visitors with a beautiful new 4-acre park.”

The park is to include café-style seating, gathering areas, and flexible programming space for seasonal events, farmers markets, wellness programming, and Summer Fest activities. The green space is envisioned as the new “front door” to the center.

Marx Realty has been working with GTL Construction, TPG Architecture as architect of record and Dirtworks Landscape Architecture on the design of the new park and landscaped public spaces that will anchor the redevelopment project.

First opened in 1954 as the nation’s first open-air shopping center, Cross County Center today welcomes approximately 14 million visitors annually and has more than 100 retail, dining, entertainment, and educational tenants. It is located at the intersection of the Cross County Parkway and I-87 and encompasses 1.15 million square feet.
